Reposter
Reposter is a tool to download any RSS feed content, transform it, and repost to any web or blog site using the standard Movabletype XMLRPC posting API. It is a bit similar to Yahoo! Pipes, but it is more powerful because you can transform the reposted entries in any way you want. An example application of Reposter is my Misc Random blog where Reposter automatically posts my del.icio.us bookmarks, Twitter friends timeline and Google Reader shared items every day. Note how the YouTube Videos from del.icio.us bookmarks are automatically converted into inline playable videos, and how the Twitter timeline is re-formatted to include pictures.
I could have done something similar using off-the-shelf tools such as perhaps Yahoo! Pipes, but I wanted to gain experience in writing such a poster and content transformer in Python, so I did this myself.
